STEP this week 2/22-2/26

Hello STEP Students,

We have a few announcements this week:

• Progress Reports are due February 26 by 4:30 p.m. Remember, all STEP Students must complete a Progress Report to remain in good standing with STEP. Please stop by the office to pick up a form, or request one via email.
• Tuesday, February 23 we will host a How to Overcome Your Math Anxiety Workshop taught by Jason Rief from 12:15-1:15. If you are taking a math class this semester or have some math classes ahead of you, please join us for this valuable workshop. You will learn strategies that will help you succeed in your math classes.
• Thursday, February 25 we will be attending a performance of Mary Poppins. If you have already signed up for this performance and can no longer attend, please let us know ASAP so that we can allow students on the waitlist to make plans to attend. Remember, if you sign-up and fail to let us know in a timely fashion that you cannot attend a cultural event, your ability to attend these events may be suspended!
• Friday, February 26 we will be visiting ASU Downtown. Please stop by the office this week to sign up if you plan to attend.
• The SMCC Scholarship Process is now open! Please visit the SMCC Scholarship webpage for more information http://enroll.southmountaincc.edu/FinancialAid/ApplyForFinancialAid/Scholarships.htm. Additional available scholarships are also listed on this page. Remember, the Scholarship Committee is looking for complete answers to the questions asked on the application. Grammar, spelling and effort count! We recommend you work with our English Tutors to help you develop your answers to maximize your chances!
• We have a new, free Financial Literacy 101 program available for all STEP Students. Please go to www.financialliteracy101.org and use password SMCCSSS to login. This on-line course will take less than one hour and it will give you valuable information about how to better manage your finances. Please take the time to complete this course within the next couple of weeks.
