STEP this week 2/15-2/19

Hello STEP Students,

We have several announcements/events this week:

• Wednesday, February 17 we have an ASU Application Workshop at 12:15 taught by Adam Farni. Adam is an ASU Transfer Advisor. If you are planning to transfer to ASU in the Fall 2010, or Spring 2011, you don’t want to miss this workshop!
• Thursday, February 18 we have a Love and Relationships workshop at 12:15 taught by Cori Washington. This is one of the most popular workshops we host all year. Please join us!
• Thursday, February 25 we will be attending a performance of Mary Poppins. If you have already signed up for this performance and can no longer attend, please let us know ASAP so that we can allow students on the waitlist to make plans to attend. Remember, if you sign-up and fail to let us know in a timely fashion that you cannot attend a cultural event, your ability to attend these events may be suspended!
• Friday, February 26 we will be visiting ASU Downtown. Please stop by the office this week to sign up if you plan to attend.
• Progress Reports are due February 26 by 4:30 p.m. Remember, all STEP Students must complete a Progress Report to remain in good standing with STEP. Please stop by the office to pick up a form, or request one via email.
• The SMCC Scholarship Process is now open! Please visit the SMCC Scholarship webpage for more information http://enroll.southmountaincc.edu/FinancialAid/ApplyForFinancialAid/Scholarships.htm. Additional available scholarships are also listed on this page. Remember, the Scholarship Committee is looking for complete answers to the questions asked on the application. Grammar, spelling and effort count! We recommend you work with our English Tutors to help you develop your answers to maximize your chances!
• We have a new, free Financial Literacy 101 program available for all STEP Students.
