What's Up with STEP 4/20-4/24

Hello STEP Students,

We have a few events/reminders this week:

1. Check out our new blog www.stepsmcc.blogspot.com. We will post important information about STEP, campus events, and SCHOLARSHIP opportunities on this site on a weekly basis.

2. We have our last workshop of the semester tomorrow, Tuesday April 21 at 12: 15. It is Refining Research & Citing Sources taught by Lora Largo. Please join us for this timely workshop that will be of great help to those of you working on final papers and projects. This workshop counts as 1 Academic unit toward Grant Aid.

3. Friday, April 24 we have our last campus visit for the semester. We will be visiting ASU West. We will leave from the STEP office at 7:45 a.m. sharp. Please don’t be late! We have to be on campus by 9:00 a.m. Please stop by the office to fill out field trip paperwork asap if you plan on attending. Don’t forget to bring your unofficial transcripts if you would like to meet with a transfer advisor.

4. Wednesday, April 29 we will have our End of the Year Recognition Ceremony at 12:00 p.m in the Student Union. ALL STEP students are invited to attend the celebration. We will have a guest speaker and lunch will be served. Please RSVP by stopping the office or calling 602.305.5676.

5. Have you completed your FAFSA for 2009-2010? Financial Aid (FAFSA) workshops are also being held every WEDNESDAY, in TLC225, 1pm.

6. Fall Priority Registration is now available! If you would like assistance selecting your classes, please stop by the office to schedule an appointment to meet with Laura or give us a call at 602.305.5676. If you have already registered, please drop off a copy of your schedule so that we can update our files.

7. Don’t forget! Applications for Cougar Ambassador positions are due May 1! For more information, see our blog www.stepsmcc.blogspot.com.

8. MCBAA Convocation is May 3. See the STEP email for more details!
