Martens Scholarship

This scholarship is available to STEP students who meet all of the following criteria:

• Preference shall be given to “adult” students – those who have interrupted their education to work or raise a family and are now seeking further education to better themselves.

• Preference shall be given to “average” students whose grade point average in high school or a prior college experience reflects C or B work.

• To be eligible a student must enroll in a minimum of nine credits per semester.

• Scholarships shall be awarded each semester. Prior recipients of a Martens scholarship are eligible for continuing scholarship support for up to six semesters provided they maintain at least a C average, complete at least nine credits per semester and are otherwise making satisfactory progress toward completion of a degree or certificate.

• Students previously awarded a scholarship may “stop out” from their coursework one time for not more than two semesters and be eligible to reapply for a Martens scholarship upon resuming their studies.
